Introduction
Hey there! 👋
I'm Glory Janet Abolaji fondly called Jane, a UX designer currently based in the Netherlands 🇳🇱.
Right now, I'm creating user-friendly experiences at NextPax, a travel property distribution platform where I design intuitive features that help over 100,000 property and vacation home owners connect with travelers worldwide.
Before product design, I spent 5 years as in product marketing and while also running a own fashion line. This meant i interfaced with people, ALOT and Through these, i have always enjoyed art; the act of creating something beautiful and insightful, something that makes people happy and feel seen.
All of these experiences has taught me something invaluable that i bring to my design approach: design isn't just about making things pretty, It's about understanding people, their frustrations, and joy when something just works, and those little moments when a good design makes people's day easier and Its incredibly satisfying know that my design decisions impact real people's experiences! I'm genuinely passionate about solving problems, and design gives me an endless possibilities to do just that!
Over the past 5 years in product design, I have created solutions now used by thousands of people and one thing i will say is each project i have been involved in has taught me something new about the human behavior and yeah, exactly why I love what I do.
Outside of work, I'm proudly Nigerian 🇳🇬, born and raised in Nigerians biggest city - Lagos, but now, i live in the Netherlands with my family. When I'm not pushing pixels, you will most likely find me volunteering for causes that helps indigent kids and single mothers, reading a good fictional romance novel, cooking my favorite meal- Jollof rice with some juicy turkey wings (ask me for a plate and see for yourself why its my favorite), exploring new cities, or just netflixing.
