My Background
I am Glory Janet Abolaji - Fondly called Jane :). Based in the Netherlands.
Currently, i work as a user experience designer at Nextpax, a travel property channel distribution platform where I create user-friendly and intuitive features for over 100k property and vacation home owners.
Before delving into product design, I worked for 5+ years as a social media marketer and customer service representative, where I interfaced with different individuals and helped small and medium-scale businesses reach their target audience through engaging content and designs. Simultaneously, I managed my own fashion line until I made the transition to product design fully which i have been doing for a little over 4 years now.
Because I am genuinely passionate about solving problems, designing just does it for me, it gives me an endless possibility of solving problems for every single user type ranging from children, adult, the blind, old aged and others and I do this with so much enthusiasm even if it means being on my toes (most times). For me, design is not just what it looks and feels like. Design is how it works. Every pixel, line, and color should be meticulously crafted to tell stories, evoke emotions, and shape experiences.
Over the last four years, I have leveraged my diverse experiences to successfully create user-friendly products, services, and experiences that are now used by thousands of individuals.
I am an African, born and raised in Nigeria 🇳🇬 but currently live in Netherlands 🇳🇱 with my family.
When I am not designing, I am in the gym lifting weights, reading, trying new food, exploring new places, or spending time with my family. I also sometimes like my alone time ;)
